One of the primary missions of The United Way of Greater Williamsburg (UWGW) is to manage and distribute over $1 million in donor funds to community service programs. This distribution process, or “Allocation Process,” occurs annually and involves intensive collaboration between the UWGW leadership and community service agencies.
The nature of this process reflects UWGW’s commitment to:
“Integrity, Inclusiveness, Volunteerism, Collaborative Leadership and Measurable Impact.”
2012 Community Investment Process…….
We are encouraging all programs that might be interested in applying for a grant from United Way in 2012, to attend a training on September 20th at 9:00 AM at the James City County Law Enforcement Center, in the Community Room. This training is required for any agency who thinks they may want to submit a pre-application for the 2012 funding year.
