2005 Carter's Grove Race/Challenge The Carter's Grove Challenge has been cancelled for 2005. Due to the devastation of Hurricane Isabel, the country road is not accessible. We will keep you posted on the 2006 Race and possible new location!
Pacesetter Kick Off - Aprox. 13 local organizations along with United Way and the 22 member agencies, will be conducting early or "Pacesetter" campaigns for United Way of Greater Williamsburg. Pacesetters "set the pace" by conducting energetic, enthusiastic and successful campaigns to support United Way of Greater Williamsburg. UWGW looks to the Pacesetter organizations to raise approximately 30 percent of the campaign total. Our 2005 Pacesetter Campaigns will began mid-July and the amount raised will be announced at the Campaign Kick-Off event on September 8th.
Day of Caring We are preparing for our 2005 Day of Caring. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our Last year we had a work force of over 800 volunteers who worked on community-wide Stay tuned for more information on signing up to volunteer as a business team or as an individual!
At the end of the day, all volunteers will gather to share their day's experiences and enjoy a dinner provided in-kind by Outback Steak House and dessert by Ben& Jerry's.
